About

Eddy Lanois is a classical trumpeter based in New York City. He recently completed his Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory as a student of Benjamin Wright. Eddy also earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the USC Thornton School of Music, studying with Tom Hooten and Jennifer Marotta.

Eddy's performance experience ranges from traditional orchestra and wind ensemble settings to theatre, ballet, and opera productions as well as film scoring sessions. During the summers he has had the opportunity to participate in intensive programs such as Eastern Music Festival, the National Brass Ensemble Academy, and the LAFCI Studio Intensive.

Outside of trumpet, Eddy is interested in the ideas of productivity and self-improvement writers such as Cal Newport and Ryan Holiday, and how those ideas can be applied to life as a working musician. His other hobbies include watching anime, reading, and running.
