Eddy Lanois is an aspiring classical trumpeter. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Music in trumpet performance at the USC Thornton School of Music under the tutelage of Thomas Hooten and Jennifer Marotta. Before coming to USC, Eddy spent a year at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, studying with Jens Lindemann.
A San Diego native, Eddy attended Rancho Bernardo High School, studying privately with John Wilds. While in high school, Eddy was a member and trumpet section leader in the award-winning Rancho Bernardo Royal Regiment and principal trumpet of the San Diego Civic Youth Orchestra. He has also participated in honor bands and orchestras at both the regional and state level.
